Martin Entwistle, founder of All About The Beer, shares his thoughts on 5 IPA's that he thinks you should try.
1) Thornbridge Jaipur (5.9% ABV)
This was one of the first American style IPA's to come into the UK market back in 1995 and it is still one of the best. It lands the perfect blend of floral american hops with a bitterness in the base beer
2) Vocation Life and Death (6.5% ABV)
We may see this one in just about every supermarket but that is with good reason, it's a cracking beer. Fantastically light and floral making it dangerously drinkable for a 6.5% beer. Be careful folks!
3) Siren Soundwave (5.6% ABV)
I mean this one is just a tropical hoppy heaven. It is eminently drinkable but with a full flavour that keeps on rewarding you.
4) Crate IPA (6.0% ABV)
This little beauty from Hackney brewer Crate has plenty of big hitting floral hops that leave you wanting more. It is full flavoured but still has a nice clean finish
5) Roosters Baby Faced Assassin (6.1% ABV)
Whether this was named after Ole Gunner Solksjaer we may never know but it is definitely a fruity and refreshing IPA that you can enjoy all the way to the bottom of the glass
